Million Dollar Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped celery
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 pkg. frozen peas, separated, but not cooked
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1 Tbsp. sugar (can use a little more)
    grated Parmesan cheese
    Romano cheese (for topping)
Preparation
    Tear lettuce in small pieces.
    Using a 9 x 11-inch dish or pan, arrange in layers:
    lettuce, onion, celery, chestnuts, peas and mayonnaise, sprinkled with sugar.
    Cheese goes on top of final layer.
    Cover pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, you may wish to top this dish with tomato wedges, crumbled bacon and/or hard-boiled eggs (sliced).
    Mix salad together just before serving.
