Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plain flour
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. dry oats
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Place all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Add shortening.
Beat until well mixed. Add egg and buttermilk.
Beat just until barely moistened. Spray muffin tins with Pam or use paper cupcake liners.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for approximately 15 minutes. Let set in pan 2 minutes before removing.
Serve hot with butter and honey.
