Salisbury Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 egg
    1 large onion
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    2 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix hamburger, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and egg; shape into 4 patties.
    Cook patties over medium heat, turning occasionally, until brown, about 10 minutes; drain.
    Add onion, broth and mushrooms.
    Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer until beef is done.
    Remove patties; keep warm.
