Fried Chicken(Low-Calorie) - cooking recipe

1 (3 lb.) frying chicken
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. butter or vegetable oil
3/4 c. water
Preparation

Preheat electric skillet to 375\u00b0 (for crisp chicken, preheat to 425\u00b0).
Cut chicken into serving size pieces.
Combine flour, salt and pepper.
Melt butter or vegetable oil in skillet.
Dip chicken into seasoned flour.
Place in skillet and cook until chicken is golden brown on all sides.
Add water.
Cover skillet, lower temperature to 250\u00b0.
Continue cooking for about 45 minutes.
