Bermuda Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large Bermuda onions, sliced
    4 slices stale white bread (no crust), cubed
    3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    3/4 c. milk
    2 eggs
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Parboil onions for 10 minutes.
    Place in buttered casserole dish, layered with bread and cheese.
    Combine milk, eggs, salt and pepper; pour over top layer.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
