Ingredients

1 c. yellow cornmeal
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Combine cornmeal, sugar and salt in large bowl.
Add water slowly.
Cover; let stand 10 minutes.
Mix flour and baking powder; set aside.
In a small bowl, beat egg, milk and butter until smooth.
Pour into cornmeal, then add flour mixture.
Stir only until combined.
