Strawberry Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cake flour
    1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 1/2 c. egg whites
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed
Preparation
    Sift flour and confectioners sugar together 3 times.
    Beat together egg whites, cream of tartar and salt with a wire whisk or electric mixer until foamy.
    Add 1 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time; beat until stiff peaks form.
    Fold in 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and almond flavorings.
    Sift flour mixture gradually over the top; fold in gently, just until flour mixture disappears.
