Oatmeal Caramelitas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    50 light caramels (14 oz. pkg.)
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    2 c. quick cooking oats
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter, melted
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Melt caramels with milk in saucepan.
    Cool slightly.
    Combine remaining ingredients, except for chocolate chips and walnuts. Press half of the oatmeal mixture into a greased 13 x 9-inch Pyrex dish. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle crust with chocolate chips and walnuts. Drizzle caramel mixture over all. Cover with remaining oatmeal crumbs.
    Press slightly. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes longer.
