Mom'S Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Beat egg whites until firm and add 1/2 cup of sugar slowly.
    Beat egg yolks with water until foamy and add remainder of sugar.
    Continue beating until yolk mixture is thickened.
    Add flour, salt and baking powder (sifted together) to yolk mixture.
    Add vanilla.
    Fold in egg white and put into an ungreased tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
