Ingredients

1 c. margarine
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs (save 3 whites for frosting)
2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. white syrup
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. water
1 fresh ground coconut
Preparation

Cook all ingredients except coconut over double boiler 7 minutes. Put coconut between layers and on top.
