Beef Bourguignon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    water
    beef pieces
    1/2 liter red wine
    whole potatoes, boiled
    bay leaf
    onion, chopped
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Shake beef pieces in bag with flour.
    Brown in butter or a little oil.
    Add water to cover 2 to 3 inches.
    Add bay leaf, salt, pepper and onion.
    Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Add red wine; cook 1/2 hour more.
    Thicken if necessary.
    Serve over boiled whole potatoes.
