Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can pie filling (cherry, blueberry or lemon)
Preparation
    Cream margarine, sugar and eggs.
    Then mix in vanilla and one cup of flour at a time.
    Batter will be thick (you may have to wet your fingers to spread it in the pan).
    Spread 1/2 the batter in a 13 x 9-inch pan, then pour pie filling over that.
    Spoon rest of batter on top to almost cover it.
    (Some of the filling will show through.)
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
    (I greased my baking dish also.)
