Ingredients

2 lb. dates, chopped
1/2 lb. candied cherries, chopped (red or green)
1/2 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
4 c. English walnuts or pecans, chopped
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Put dates, cherries, pineapple and nuts in bowl.
Mix flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.
Add to fruit.
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
Add to floured fruit mix.
Grease a cookie sheet.
Make into balls and mash down with fork.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Cookies should be light in color and edges brown when removed from oven.
