Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. flour
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, cocoa and salt.
Add 1 cup milk and beaten egg yolks.
Add remaining milk.
Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Pour into pie shell.
Beat egg whites at room temperature until stiff, adding 1/4 cup sugar and cream of tartar.
Spread meringue over pie.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until meringue is browned.
