Just Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
4 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
4 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 c. milk
1/3 c. half and half cream
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Put the first 6 items in saucepan over low heat and stir frequently until all is melted with a candy thermometer in all the while. Put a lid on with it tilted against the thermometer.
Turn heat to medium heat. Stir no more. When the candy boils, carefully remove lid and continue cooking until thermometer registers 232\u00b0. Carefully remove from heat and add vanilla.
When candy has cooled to 120\u00b0, remove thermometer and beat candy until it loses the satiny sheen. Quickly pour or spread on buttered platter.
Cut in squares and store in airtight container so it will not dry out.
