Stuffed Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 large cabbage leaves
    1 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. cooked rice
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Cover cabbage leaves with boiling water for 5 minutes; drain. Combine next 6 ingredients and 1/2 can tomato sauce.
    Place equal amounts of meat in center of leaves.
    Roll up and fasten with toothpick.
    Place in large skillet.
    Stir in remaining sauce, sugar, lemon juice and water.
    Simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
    Makes 6 servings.
