Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chicken parts
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can tomato soup
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. Chianti or other dry red wine
    2 large cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. oregano, crushed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 medium green pepper, cut into strips
Preparation
    In a skillet, brown chicken in shortening; pour off fat.
    Add remaining ingredients, except pepper.
    Cover; cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
    Add pepper.
    Cook 15 minutes more.
    Stir now and then.
    Makes 4 servings.
