Strawberry Glaze Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9-inch baked pie shell
    6 c. fresh strawberries (about 1 1/2 qt.)
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
    1 pkg. cream cheese (3 oz.), softened
Preparation
    Crush enough strawberries to make 1 cup.
    Stir together sugar and cornstarch.
    Gradually stir in the water and crushed berries. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
    Boil and stir for 1 minute.
    Cool.
