Parmesan Topped Asparagus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. asparagus, trimmed and peeled
    1/4 c. unsalted butter, melted
    salt and freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Blanche asparagus in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Arrange spears in a shallow ovenproof serving dish.
    Pour melted butter over asparagus.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
    Sprinkle cheese evenly over top.
    Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
