Cornbread Sausage Dressing With Apples And Pecans - cooking recipe

1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
2 c. chopped Granny Smith apples (unpeeled)
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
5 c. cornbread, crumbled
5 c. biscuits, crumbled (homemade biscuits)
2 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. chopped parsley
4 c. chicken broth
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease
a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish or pan.
Cook sausage, onion and celery in skillet until sausage is brown and vegetables are tender.
In large mixing bowl, combine sausage and vegetable mixture with remaining ingredients.
Stir gently.
Spoon into prepared baking dish.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
