Micro Chicken Teriyaki - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb. chicken, cut up
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients except chicken.
    In an 11 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4-inch dish, add chicken and coat with sauce.
    Marinate 30 minutes or overnight in refrigerator.
    Drain off most of the sauce.
    Cover with wax paper.
    Microwave on High for 22 minutes, or until tender.
    Turn the chicken over and brush with drippings halfway through cooking.
    Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    If using chicken breasts, reduce time.
    Watch carefully.
