Green Bean Or Yellow Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. green beans or yellow beans
    3/4 c. packed dill (fresh tops)
    fennel seeds (optional)
    1/4 lb. bacon, crumbled
    1 large onion
    flour
    water
    about 1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Before cooking beans, dice the dill tops smaller.
    Cook with fennel seeds (optional).
    Put in a large pot.
    Cook bacon in small pieces and add to beans.
    Saute onion in bacon grease.
    Add flour and water to make gravy.
    Add to beans and cook until beans are tender.
    Let cool.
    Add sour cream to taste and to thicken.
    Serve with rye bread.
