Muskmelon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. muskmelon (yellow), stewed
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks, well beaten
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook and mash the melon. Add 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, butter and well beaten egg yolks.
    Cook over low heat until thick.
    Add filling to baked 8-inch pie crust.
    Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy.
    Continue beating until stiff and glossy.
    Cover filling with meringue and bake 8 to 10 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
