Braised Pork With Broccoli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 lb. pork, cut in 1-inch cubes
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 tsp. minced ginger root or 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    3/4 c. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. sherry
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 lb. fresh broccoli or 2 pkg. frozen, thawed and chopped
Preparation
    Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a deep skillet; brown the pork all over.
    Stir in the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sherry, sugar and water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Heat remaining oil in a saucepan and cook the broccoli over high heat for 4 minutes.
    Drain.
    Arrange on a serving dish and top with the pork.
    Serves 6 to 8.
