Novy Edward'S Own Chili Recipe - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 5 lb. chuck roast
water
1 onion
2 Tbsp. cumin
garlic powder
2 large cans tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 pkg. Tex-Mex red chili powder
salt
pepper
1 gallon can beans (chili or pinto beans)
Preparation

Cook chuck roast until it can be shredded in small pieces. This can be done atop the stove by putting meat in large pot. Cover meat with water, add onion, cumin and garlic powder.
When meat is tender, remove from heat (save liquid).
Shred and discard fat, gristle and bones.
Return meat to pot of liquid, add tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, salt and pepper and simmer for a few minutes.
Add can of beans and cook slowly over low heat until thoroughly heated.
Now is the time for the taste test.
Add additional spices to your taste.
When your brow begins to perspire, you have it right!
