Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. whole corn kernels
    1 egg
    pinch of sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    vegetable oil for deep frying
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar for serving
Preparation
    In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add the corn, egg and sugar.
    Stir in milk to form a dough that is soft, but not runny.
    In a deep-fryer, heat the oil to 325\u00b0.
    Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of fritter dough into the oil and fry for about 10 to 15 minutes.
    Roll in confectioners sugar, if desired. Serve warm with honey butter.
