Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. raw peanuts
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. oleo
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup, peanuts and salt in a 2 quart casserole.
    Stir well.
    Microwave at High 8 to 9 minutes.
    Mixture will be light brown in color.
    Add oleo and vanilla.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Microwave on High 1 to 3 minutes or until mixture reaches the hard crack stage (300\u00b0).
    Stir in soda quickly.
    Pour onto greased slab or cookie sheet.
    Let cool at least 1 hour. Break into small pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
