Chocolate Cherry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box any chocolate cake mix
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 pkg. chocolate pudding
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Follow directions on cake mix, except for the following: instead of oil and/or water, add the cherry pie filling.
    Bake as directions state.
    While baking the cake, make the pudding, per the instructions (this can be shaker top or cooked pudding).
    When cake is completely cool, cover with pudding and refrigerate overnight (or 8 hours).
    Add Cool Whip to top of cake as a frosting.
    Sprinkle with cherries, chocolate sprinkles, etc.
