Vassan Spatzen(German Water Dumplings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    little brown sugar (optional)
Preparation
    In a saucepan, put in 2 quarts of water and 1 teaspoon of salt.
    Bring to a rolling boil.
    Meanwhile, mix eggs, 1/2 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon
    of salt in a bowl.
    Stir until well blended.
    Add flour.
    Beat until smooth and the consistency of gum.
    You may have to add more flour or water for the right consistency.
    Then tilt bowl over boiling water and with a knife, cut dough into fine strips as it slowly pours out of bowl.
