Sandwich Spread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 red peppers
    6 green peppers
    6 large pickles
    6 green tomatoes
    6 onions
    10 carrots
    10 stalks celery
    1/2 c. salt
    a little salt
    2 pt. vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 pt. prepared mustard
    1 c. flour
Preparation
    Grind the first 7 ingredients.
    Add 1/2 cup salt and a little salt.
    Let stand 2 hours.
    Drain.
    Add the vinegar; cook for 20 minutes.
    Add the remaining ingredients; mix.
    Cook well, stirring continually.
    Put into jars and seal.
    Put in salad dressing if you want to before eating.
