Real Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs (separate)
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. flour
few grains salt
3/4 c. lemon juice (4 lemons)
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 (9-inch) baked pie crust
Preparation

Beat egg yolks until foamy.
Stir in 1 cup sugar into the yolks very gradually, beating constantly.
Now stir in the flour and salt until smooth, then pour in lemon juice and mix thoroughly.
Add the boiling water last.
Cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until the filling is smooth and thick. Takes about 20 minutes.
Cool before pouring into pie shell.
