Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    4 tsp. milk
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Thoroughly cream the shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add egg and milk.
    Beat until light and fluffy. Sift together the dry ingredients.
    Blend into creamed mixture. Divide dough in half.
    Cover and chill 1 hour.
    On lightly floured surface, roll 1/8 inch thick.
    Bake on ungreased sheet 8 to 10 minutes.
