Onion And Bacon Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1 small onion, minced
    butter
    flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. mixed herbs
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. bread crumbs
    oil
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Cook bacon and onion until tender.
    Add flour and stir.
    Gradually add milk and cook until thick and creamy. Cool.
    Stir herbs into mixture and divide into 8 portions.
    Form into a ball.
    Dip in beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
    Deep fry until brown.
