Pineapple Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, separated
    1 pie shell
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    20 oz. crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in pineapple and juice. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes. Gradually stir 1 cup hot filling into egg yolks. Return all to pan and bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Cover with lid to keep warm.
