Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    4 c. milk
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/3 c. coconut
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (9-inch) pie crust, baked
    2 c. whipping cream
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cook first 4 ingredients until thickened and creamy, stirring constantly, over medium heat.
    Add butter, vanilla and coconut. Remove from heat.
    Pour in baked shell.
    Cover with wax paper and chill.
    Whip cream and add powdered sugar.
    Beat until thick.
    Top pie; sprinkle with toasted coconut.
    Keep refrigerated.
