Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks, well beaten
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. mashed bananas
1 1/2 tsp. soda
6 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. chopped pecans
3 egg whites
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add bananas, egg yolks and vanilla (beat well).
(Dissolve soda in buttermilk separate.)
Add flour and buttermilk.
Add pecans.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 35 minutes.
Cool and ice with Caramel 7-Minute Frosting.
