Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
6 c. chopped apples

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs together.
Add soda, cinnamon, salt and flour; mix well.
Add chopped apples and mix again.
Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes. When cake starts to bake, top with brown sugar and nuts (optional).
