Microwave Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. box brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    3 qt. popped popcorn
    1 c. peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    In a 4 quart dish, place brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, water, and salt.
    Microwave at high 12 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes.
    Add soda.
    Pour over popcorn and peanuts (optional), and toss.
    Spread on aluminum foil to cool or form into balls.
