Really Italian Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) loaf Italian bread, cut lengthwise
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/3 c. olive oil
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. thinly sliced scallions
    1 small tomato, chopped
    1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 500\u00b0.
    Place bread, cut side up, on baking sheet.
    Set aside.
    In small bowl, mix together the garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper; drizzle mixture over sliced bread.
    Sprinkle bread with scallions and tomatoes, then top with cheese.
    Bake in upper half of oven for 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese melts and edges of bread brown.
    Cut into 1-inch pieces and serve.
