Ham Or Pork Fried Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cubed ham or pork
    1 c. rice
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 large carrot, grated
    1/2 c. cabbage, grated or garden peas
    1 to 2 scallions (optional)
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    In a large pot, fry rice in butter until brown.
    Add all of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Drop heat to low.
    Cover and simmer approximately 20 minutes or until done.
    Serves 4.
