Ingredients

1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
10 slices French bread
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. margarine
Preparation

Combine brown sugar, margarine and corn syrup in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes or until bubbly.
Pour syrup into bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish.
Arrange bread slices over syrup.
