Cornbread Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 can tomato soup
2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
1 c. corn
1/2 green pepper, chopped
3/4 c. corn meal
1 tsp. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp. melted fat
Preparation

Brown beef and onion in skillet.
Add soup, water, seasonings, corn and green pepper; mixing well.
Simmer for 15 minutes.
Fill well-greased casserole 3/4 full, leaving room for topping.
Mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, buttermilk, egg and fat.
Pour on top of casserole.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Topping will disappear into beef mixture and rise during baking.
