Baked Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 medium or 6 large onions
    1 (13 3/4 oz.) bag potato chips
    1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
    2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation
    In a 9 x 13 x 2-inch buttered casserole, place alternate layers of thinly sliced onions, crushed potato chips and grated cheese.
    Combine mushroom soup with milk and pour over top of the onion mixture.
    Sprinkle pepper over top.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
