Noodle And Cheese Casserole - cooking recipe

1 1/2 lb. noodles
salted water
1 c. creamy cottage cheese
6 oz. cream cheese
1 c. thick sour cream
1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
1/3 c. chopped scallions or chives
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
dot with butter
Preparation

Cook noodles in rapidly boiling salted water for about 8 to 10 minutes or until tender but not soft.
Drain well and keep warm. Mash cottage cheese with cream cheese and sour cream.
Mix this with the noodles and season with salt and pepper.
Mix in lightly scallions or chives and turn the mixture into a generously buttered 2-quart baking dish.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese; dot with butter and bake in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
