Lemon Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    2 level Tbsp. flour
    1/2 gal. whole milk
    5 eggs
    2 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
    1 can Carnation milk
    water (finish filling container with water)
Preparation
    Combine sugar and flour; mix with 1/2 gallon whole milk and beaten eggs.
    Cook until it forms a custard.
    Be sure to cook on low heat and stir to keep from scorching.
    If it lumps at all, strain through strainer after you have added Carnation and flavoring.
    Let cool and then freeze.
