Sweetheart Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small cans crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    2 pkg. unflavored gelatin
    juice of 1 lemon
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
    1 small carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bring pineapple and
    sugar to a boil.
    Dissolve gelatin in cold water.
    Add
    to cooked mixture; add lemon juice.
    Chop cherries and blend with pineapple.\tCombine everything, except Cool Whip, and refrigerate until thickened.
    Add Cool Whip and congeal until firm.
    This
    recipe may also be frozen and works well in small molds.
