Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. apples, peeled and sliced
2/3 c. sugar plus some for top
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 tsp. lemon juice
pastry for 2 crust 9-inch pie
2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation

Mix apples with 2/3 cup sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, lemon peel and juice; set aside. Line 9-inch pan with 1 pastry circle. Fill with apple mixture. Dot with margarine. Cover with top crust and crimp edges. Prick top with fork. Bake in preheated oven at 375\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until apples are tender. Sprinkle crust with sugar before or after baking, if desired.
