Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. ground turkey
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 egg
    1 large can tomato juice
    1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut
    2 c. water (about)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut cabbage leaves from stalk.
    Place in large pan of boiling water for several minutes to soften; drain.
    Combine meat, rice, onion, egg, salt and pepper; mix well.
    Spoon mixture onto cabbage leaves; roll to enclose filling and fasten with wooden pick. Combine water and tomato juice in large pot.
    Lay rolls in pot; cook for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours on medium heat.
    The last 20 minutes of cooking time, add the sauerkraut.
