Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. wheat bran
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. sour cream
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas
Preparation

Sift flour, soda, salt and baking powder together; stir in nuts and wheat bran.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Combine mashed bananas and sour cream; add alternatively with flour to first mixture.
Bake in a greased loaf pan lined with waxed paper in a moderate oven on 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 40 minutes.
