Bunk House Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef cubes (can substitute venison cubes, ground venison and ground beef)
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. diced celery
    2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    6 to 8 oz. beer
    1 c. barbecue sauce
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    1 tsp. salt
    2 (16 oz.) cans pinto or kidney beans
Preparation
    Brown beef in oil and drain. Add remaining ingredients, except for beans, and simmer 1 hour. Add beans and continue to simmer 45 additional minutes. If liquid is too thin, 1 can of tomato paste can be added to thicken.
